The one minus I can think of is when that goddamned spider appeared on the playing field, and I swear that fucker always made a beeline to my player ant and chew it up with a disturbingly detailed close-up of that bastard's four eyes and leg-mouth thingies. There was a 'campaign' mode of sorts where you raise a colony, send out queens to colonize new areas and eventually take over someone's yard and house while keeping the red ants from doing the same. Did you know ants can puke up their food to feed each other? That saved my player ant more than a few times. SimAnt was an edutainment title by Maxis and had a nifty section in the manual that detailed how ants and their colonies worked.
